Email: Week#61 in Paraguay

Hi,

Things are all going super good. Today we played some soccer with the other missionaries. So this was a crazy week! I am super excited because tomorrow we get to go to the temple! I know that it will be super awesome. And so last Saturday we had a baptism! It was super awesome because Jesus got baptized! It was kinda weird because we had to have a super late baptism. We had it at like 8.30 at night, because he had to work, but it all worked out! So it was kinda funny because he didn't bend his knees well, so I almost fell when I had to lift him up again haha, kinda embarrassing.

But before that baptism, the other ward had one too. And the sister missionaries forgot to get their baptismal clothing! So we had to ask the owner of one of the other missionaries that lived nearby to get into there house, but there was a problem with the key! So the other Elder was freaking out because he couldn't get the key out for the baptism! It took us forever, but right when we gave up, it came out! I feel like that is usually how it is in our lives, like we get pushed to our limit in our trials, but somehow we always can get over them! :)

We also had a fun time yesterday because we had a family home evening there and we did this activity to try to draw with their eyes closed to show that we all need a light in our lives, which is Christ, so it was a fun lesson for all the kids. And this is also where we did the pizza!

Also, we went out to make some brownies with some recent converts, so that was a lot of fun. We hung out there for a bit, an my companion burnt his tongue because he was so excited to eat it haha.

But all is well, I will send some pictures now too!

Hi!

So things are pretty good today. We went over to the mission office today because we had to get a few things there and do a few stuff. So basically a pretty tranquil Pday today.

SO this week was like super lame because my companion got a bit sick and it was some crazy rain that came about, so my comp wanted to stay home to not get really sick because he got sick for like his first 2 months in the mission. So we kinda just chilled and stuff.

We still have Jesus's baptism this Saturday!!!! It finally is going to happen. We waited a long time because he finally is 18 now and can sign for himself because his dad doesn't want him to. So it is really cool. He really is such an awesome guy.

And today we are going to have a fhe with a family and make some pizza, so that should be super fun!

Hi

So things are super awesome here. My new companion is named Elder Mendoza from Utah, but his parents are bolivians. He is super cool, and we already knew each other before.  Ah, and I am staying in my area. My old comp went super far into this place where a lot of people don't speak spanish!

Today was our Zone Activity, so we played soccer and beach volleyball, so that was super fun.

But so things are doing super well in the area. Now that my old companion has left, I really take charge of everything and basically make all the decisions until he gets to know the area. So because of that, I decided to ask for a lot of references. ANDwe just got some super cool ones! We still gotta get out and find them when they are home... but super good ones. And the Lord has blessed us for that because we just got a member that came to us with a new family to teach that wanted the missionaries to come over! It is super neat.

But we just have been focusing on the less actives and hope to keep that going up. We had an attendance of 78 last week! That is super good! We only got that once in the last three months. It is cool.

We have been working a bit with Jesus Perez. He gotta fecha for the 25th of this month and what an AWESOME PERSON! He told us how much he just loved conference and how powerful it was. It is so cool to see someone progress so fast, that a difference can be made. There really are people ready out there!!!

Hi everyone,

So things have been going pretty good lately. Today was probably my last day with my companion. We are both almost 100% sure that he is leaving tomorrow. So today we went to Pizza Hut to celebrate and we had some fun there. I ate more than last time, but it totally fills you up. It is an awesome deal to have all you can eat for 5 bucks!

But so this week we had the semana santa. It is a whole time to remember the Savior, and not just one day like we do. But it is contained of lots of chipa and sopa. But it is cool because we get to eat more :).

And General Conference was awesome! I really enjoyed it. My favorite talks were from Christofferson, Eyring, and Nielson. It was a super good conference. It got a lot of missionaries homesick because almost every talk talked about MARRIAGE! Like Boyd K. Packer´s talk was super trunky for a lot when he talked about true love haha.

So you wanna hear what happened during conference? Well we went to go out to the stake center and it was raining a lot. And normally, you would think it would be a nice thing because it wouldn't be so hot. Well, we didn't watch like ANY of the first session because of the rain storm. It took out the connection... so we started off bad.

But that is it really... and I tried sending a picture, but it isnt working that well :P, so you may get that one later.
