Email: Week#52 in Paraguay

Hi,

So this week has been pretty awesome as well! The exciting news is...
that we have a baptism this weekend! And it is from the family Cañete!
We have been working with this family for a while and finally they are
back! So after working with them a lot, one of the daughters wants to
get baptized! So we are super excited about that. This family is just
super awesome. They just keep giving us people and sharing the gospel
that now they gave us a few people that want to get baptized!

It really is awesome that we are able to get some baptisms because as
a mission we are hitting an all time low. So it really is neat that we
have been able to find so many people.

So today we hung out and played soccer, a few guys in our district and
then we went out and ate together, so it was a pretty good week.

This week we are going to be full of service projects. This Thursday
we are going to clean out a new house and yard for a new investigator
that moved here (friend of family canete) who said she will start
going to church now. She told us that she almost got baptized but she
moved... so thats cool. We just happened to pass by when she was
visiting the family canete. It really is neat when you find yourself
at the right place at the right time.

Also, we are doing the classic service project in Paraguay... to cut
grass with a machete. It is cool, but I really don't like doing it.

But it is raelly awesome because last sunday we went up in attendance.
We started the meeting with like 40 people then suddenly came in a ton
of people. It was really neat.

Well, thats good for now. Talk to you next week!

Hi,

So this week was just amazing. All I can say is that the Lord is extremely merciful and amazing. We recently, just out of no where, have been gaining tons of references from the members. A lot of people are coming up to us and other times we just happen to be in the right place to get a reference. These aren't just any kind of references, but super quality (almost spelled that in spanish haha) ones! Last Sunday, we had two people come to church who said they loved it!

Also, things got better with the family Cañete! They actually came to church again, so that is really awesome that they want to start coming again, we can work with them to get baptized!  The two people that came to church was friends with this family!

Also, remember Montze who just got baptized like 2 weeks ago? Well she came up to us once and told us of her friend that wants to come get baptized. So we met with the mom because he is only 8 years old, but it turns out that she wants him to start going to church and she said she doesn't have any problem going too so that is cool.

But honestly, working with the members is truly an amazing thing! It really makes the missionary work go a lot better and faster.

It is also crazy that I already have almost 4 weeks here! Time has gone by super fast. I really enjoy the area a lot where I am at.

But that has been my amazing week, I will update you later!

Love, Elder Crandall :)

Hi!

So today I hit my 13 month mark! Time is just going by crazy. I was waiting so long to hit my year mark and now another month just sneaked in, everyone says it goes by a lot faster after that year mark. That is weird that everyone is home or already coming home. And that is weird to think that those two got baptized! It is crazy that times just goes by fast!

But anyway... things are going pretty good here.  Everyone comments on my eyes. I don't remember if I told you or not, but one member told me I looked like an angel and not to fly away haha. But just like everyone says that, its crazy.

But things have been kinda crazy out here in Huguito. I think that the baptism for the family Canete will be prolonged for a bit. The mom got super angry from a rumor spread about here from a member and doesnt wanna go anymore. The family still does... but without the mom it is a bit difficult.

However, we have been having a bit of luck from the less actives. We randomly found the Ramirez family that just barely moved from Argentina. This guy selling ice cream in the street came over and told us where they lived and what was awesome was that the mom and the son came this Sunday! It is awesome because we have been visiting them a bit.

In my district meeting I talk about what we can do to improve the ward, reminding them to talk to people, share scriptures, talk about goals and new news and stuff like that.

Anyway, well this week went by just suuuper fast! It is crazy. So today we went to Pizza Hut again, one of the missionaries ate 21 pieces!
